Havanese Breed History made in January 2017

Havalag Havanese are delighted to have played a part in making Havanese breed history. In January 2017 Val Goddards beautiful white homebred havanese male VALBECCAS GOLDEN DREAM made havanese breed history by becoming the first havanese to achieve the UK JUNIOR WARRANT award. He can now have JW after his name. This award is not easy to achieve in minority breeds. 25 points are required to be won before the age of 18 months. Points must be achieved at Championship shows where CCs are on offer and at open and non CC championship shows. Only first place in a class with a minimum of 3 dogs present count as points. 3 for a CC championship show, 1 for Open and non CC championship shows.  As not many open shows schedule separate havanese classes points are not easy to win.   So Golden Dream winning his Junior Warrant at 16 months of age is a really special achievment.   Havalags involvement – Sire of Dream is our own AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION CARNWATH COOLNAGATTA GOLD FROM HAVALAG. Dam is HAVALAG WHO DARES WINS – herself a Res CC winner as is her son Dream.  Sincere congratulations to Val and daughter Rebecca who handled Dream to make breed history..
